Everything Copycat keeps is sealed in an encrypted store on this Mac. Nothing is sent anywhere, with one exception: link previews fetch a page's title and icon from the site itself, and never for a link that looks like a secret.

Accessibility lets Copycat paste for you after you pick a clip. Without it, Copycat copies the clip and you press ⌘V. Screen Recording is only used for screenshots taken with ⌃⇧5. Everything else works without either.
No. Copies that password managers mark as concealed are skipped, and anything that looks like a one-time code, card number, private key or signed link is hidden and deleted after 30 seconds.
No. It stays in an encrypted store on the Mac it came from. There's no account and nothing to sign in to.
Your last 100, 200 or 500 clips, whichever you choose. Anything filed on a pinboard is kept until you remove it.
